The X Plenum of the Council of the Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Construction Workers of Ukraine, held on 24 April 1996, adopted a resolution which reads: «To approve the symbolism of the Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Construction Workers of Ukraine, which is a combination of images of the following elements: a locomotive, a tunnel portal, a sleeper grid and a stylised letter U»
In August 2001, the Presidium Of The Trade Union Council approved the regulations on the Trade Union Flag:
“To approve the flag of the trade union as a rectangular blue cloth with the ratio of the width of the flag to its length 2:3.
The flag shall bear the trade union emblem and the inscription «Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Construction Workers of Ukraine».
