The amount of financial assistance for medical care for non-working railway pensioners was approved by the Presidium of the Trade Union Council on 8 October. р. increased to reflect the real average market value of medical services due to the implementation of the relevant provisions of the Sectoral Agreement by the administration of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

The main areas and profiles of medical care for which expenses are reimbursed have been expanded.

Also, in certain difficult cases, if financially possible, trade unions can now provide this financial assistance if pensioners apply for it repeatedly during the year.

We remind you that non-working railway pensioners who retired from the divisions of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia (or enterprises whose successor is the company), having worked for at least three years before, can receive financial assistance for medical care. To do this, you need to contact the head of the primary trade union organisation of the unit from which the railway worker retired. If the unit has been reorganised or there is no contact with the head of the primary trade union, you can use the service of the trade union website https://zalp.org.ua/materialna-dopomoga/.

This assistance is usually provided once a year.

To receive assistance, you must submit an application, the template of which is available on the website, and provide the following documents:

  • a certificate from the chairman of the primary trade union (added by the chairman of the primary trade union after receiving the rest of the documents);
  • a copy of the first page of your passport (ID card);
  • documents confirming at least three years of railway work experience before retirement (certificate from the place of work or certified copies of the relevant pages of the employment record book);
  • a copy of the identification code;
  • bank details in IBAN format;
  • medical documents (extracts, consultations, conclusions of a medical institution);
  • documents confirming the costs of treatment (invoices, receipts, cash receipts, etc.);

– other documents confirming treatment, examination, etc.

Please note that if you apply via the electronic service, you only need to submit an application. In response, you will receive an address to which you will need to submit the remaining documents.

This financial assistance is aimed at compensating railway pensioners for expenses incurred and can be provided only in cases that have occurred since 14 December 2023 and subject to a complete set of documents confirming the expenses.
